Please read the following information thoroughly before undergoing your brachioplasty. We encourage you to ask any questions regarding anything you might find unclear. There is no such thing as an unnecessary question. Brachioplasty is a surgical procedure for reducing arm circumference and tissue redundancy. It significantly improves the contour of the upper arms and can eliminate a source of embarrassment for men and women. Its drawback is that it can leave obvious scars. By removing excess skin and fat, the deformity of excess skin in the arms can be minimized but it will not be completely eliminated. An incision is made on the inside of the arm extending for a variable length - sometimes even all the way to the elbow depending on the amount of excess and redundant skin and fat. You may find post operatively that some modification in dress is necessary.
